Our Ethos 

Everyone in our school is valued for their uniqueness and is nurtured within a caring community 

to become a happy and successful individual. 

    Our School  Aimsand Values

    Lancaster Lane School aims to provide a safe and secure environment which will stimulate learning for all our


    We aim for our children to be happy, eager learners who rise to challenges and show resilience.​

    In the pursuit of excellence, we aim to give a firm grounding in reading, writing, mathematics and 

    scientific investigation.

    The needs of the individual child in all curriculum areas are paramount to their eduation within our school.

    The range of experiences, whether aesthetic, physical, cultural or spiritual will aim to enlarge the children's 

    knowledge and provide them with skills to enhance their understanding of the world around them.

    We are preparing our pupils to become adults with self-discipline who will act responsibly and with care for 

    others  regardless of race or religious belief (or no religious belief)​ in order to play  a full and active role 

    in our multi-cultural society. 

    We aim to give our children the skills, knowledge and ability to keep themselves safe both in the real and 

    online worlds. ​

School Organisation

    Lancaster Lane School has seven classes; one per year group.  Each class teacher is supported by an 

    experienced team of Teaching Assistants.

    School Times

    School starts at 8.55am when the whistle is blown for the children to line up in the playround.

    Morning playtime is from 10.40am - 10.50am.

    Lunch time is from 12pm - 1.00pm for EYFS / KS1 (Infants) and

                                   12.10pm - 1.10pm for KS2 (Juniors)​

    Year 1 and Year 2 have an afternoon playtime at a flexible time.

    Hometime for Reception and Year 1 and Year 2 children is 3.20pm.

    Years 3 - 6 finish school at 3.25pm. ​
