We follow the National Framework for Languages and ensure that all five strands are covered.

The three progressing strands are:

· Literacy,

· Oracy,

·  Intercultural understanding.

The two following strands also interweave the curriculum:

· Knowledge about Language,

·  Language Learning Strategies.

We aim to foster pupils’ curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world, as well as offer a linguistic

foundation that may support the study of modern languages at Key Stage 3.
