Year 3

In Year 3, we begin our learning of the Spanish language. We focus mainly only on speaking and listening at this stage, with some basic word reading.

Year 4

In Year 4, we still focus mostly on speaking and listening but begin to read, as well as spell, some frequently used words.

Year 5

In Year 5, we are expected to recognise commonly used words by sight and be able to spell them. We practise applying our knowledge of Spanish phonetic sounds to read and spell new words.

Year 6

In Year 6, we continue to refine our speaking and listening skills.  We practise writing in full sentences, applying our knowledge and skills to our writing.
