          Homework

The school policy can be found here.

Each half-term your child’s teacher will provide a selection of suggested activities for you to work on with your child at home. These activities closely

match the learning that your child will be doing in class during the upcoming weeks and are valuable exercises to help them consolidate their ideas.

Although the teacher will not set a specific task each week or set deadlines for completion, we recommend your child completes activities from the

grids at home on a ‘little and often’ basis, which fits in with your home routine. Homework should be a positive and rewarding experience to promote

a love of learning and instil confidence – the teacher would love to hear about the tasks which children have completed at home!

Please click on the links below to view the optional homework grids for this half-term:

Below are links to advice booklets which suggest strategies to support your child in their:

          1.  Reading

          2.  Spellings / Phonics

          3.  Maths

Year 4's PE lessons are on Mondays Wednesdays. Please ensure that your child has a full PE kit in school at all times, suitable for both indoor  and             outdoor activities.  Indoor PE kit is pumps or bare feet (not trainers), dark shorts and a white T-shirt. Long hair should be tied back and earrings                   taken out.  Trainers and track suit bottoms may be worn for outside PE only.
